The Omnipod® 5 is a tubeless automated insulin delivery (AID) system that integrates with a compatible CGM to automatically adjust insulin delivery every 5 minutes. The system predicts glucose levels 60 minutes ahead and responds by increasing, decreasing, or pausing insulin delivery accordingly. The waterproof§ Pod is worn directly on the body for up to 3 days (72 hours) and is controlled via the Omnipod 5 Controller. Compatible CGM sensors are sold separately and require a separate prescription. Health Canada approved for Type 1 diabetes ages 2 and older.
