Tandem received Health Canada authorization for the mobile app in September 2025, marking an important milestone for the company's expansion in Canada. The approval allows the t:slim mobile app to connect to Tandem's t:slim X2 automated insulin delivery system, one of the most advanced insulin pump systems available in Canada. Tandem Diabetes Care is one of the largest diabetes technology companies in the world, offering the t:slim X2 and Tandem Mobi systems, both featuring Control-IQ advanced hybrid closed-loop technology. While the t:slim X2 is available in Canada, the Tandem Mobi has not yet received Health Canada authorization as of January 2026.

The app brings smartphone convenience to insulin delivery, allowing users to deliver and cancel boluses directly from their phone. Beyond dosing, the app displays the last 24 hours of glucose trends, pump status changes, and detailed insulin therapy data including basal and bolus deliveries and any suspensions. Users can also view pump alerts and alarms on their phone screen.
One of the app's standout features is wireless data uploading to Tandem's cloud-based Source platform, eliminating the need to manually connect your pump to upload therapy data. This makes it easier to share information with your healthcare team and track patterns over time.
To pair your t:slim X2 pump with the mobile app, you'll need pump software version 7.8.1 or above and a compatible smartphone. Eligible customers should receive an email from Tandem with download instructions, and the app is available now in both the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Endor Health carries a full range of Tandem insulin pump supplies, including Autosoft 30 and 90 infusion sets, TruSteel infusion sets, VariSoft infusion sets, and t:slim t:lock cartridges. All products are available for convenient delivery across Canada.
